Laurie Pearce Receives Recognition For Her Volunteer Efforts

NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. - On April 21, 2005, Laurie Pearce was presented with the Volunteer Vancouver Community Service Award. She received the award at the 18th Annual Volunteer Vancouver Recognition Awards, hosted by Volunteer Vancouver.

Laurie Pearce, a long-time resident of North Vancouver, BC, has spent a great deal of her life dedicated to humanitarian efforts and providing support to the disenfranchised in our society. Laurie has been an active volunteer with Emergency Social Services Association (ESSA), serving on the Board of Directors for the past 16 years. Laurie also instructs people on Emergency Preparedness and stress management and has facilitated seminars such as: Building Stress Resilience for Disasters and Crisis Management
